Artist of the Day - Unusual Demont

Breaking out as an artist in 2020 is quite a feat in itself, but Unusual Demont is finding a way to succeed through the chaos.

Unusual Demont is an extremely compelling singer, songwriter and producer with a sound that clearly draws inspiration from the indie world with hints of soul and pop, and of course a little bit of his own personal style mixed in.. Demont’s new single “Amber” really caught our attention, and we are clearly not alone in that feeling. Amber has garnered almost 300,000 streams on Spotify alone, and can be heard in retail locations like H&M and Urban Outfitters worldwide.

Demont’s easy going, laid back delivery paired with director Nicole Blue’s psychedelic vision resulted in a wonderfully charming, simple but engaging video that compliments the track perfectly. One could say there are hints of an Al Green shining through here and they wouldn’t be wrong.

In addition to Amber, you’re definitely gonna wanna rewind a bit and check out Demont’s 2019 album “Ghosts”, which features a very enjoyable blend of indie inspired tunes that aren’t too comparable to anything else out there; Demont really is in his own lane.

Music effects people in different ways, and although I was bobbing my head immediately the first time i heard Amber, it was the fact that i was STILL bobbing my head to the track 6 hours later that made me realize Demont is definitely onto something. The intentionally laid back vocal delivery juxtaposed with the incredibly catchy little melodies is a really cool vibe and we are excited to hear what comes next from Demont.
