Artist of the Day - Zac Greer

Young gun Zac Greer dropped a 4 song EP called “headaches” this past summer and every track is a stand out hit. Lead by the anthemic jam “Crazy”, followed by the infectious head bobber “Enemies”, with incredible visuals from the always boundary pushing DanielKJordan and the Overcast crew, headaches is not a project you want to miss. 

“Crazy” showcases Greer’s clean, honest vocal delivery over well constructed, intentional production, resulting in a song that fans of any genre will enjoy. Thats not to say Greer is by any means ‘playing it safe’, however. Slightly older tracks like like "Cloud 9” are heavily reminiscent of some of Aries work, combining melodic hooks with some undeniably catchy, yet simple punch lines like: 

 “promise one day, ima sell-ticks like its Boston”

Thats witty. You can’t deny it. Thrown in with some other great metaphors and some clean orchestral sampling, Cloud 9 is a banger, and its not even on Headaches! 

Greer’s sound reminds me of a fully realized singer-songwriter who has began to dabble in other genres and production styles, creating a wildly mature and conscious sound for such a young artist. We’re stoked to see what comes next from Zac, 2021 is right around the corner.
